Global hotkeys support

Usually I not see my player window all time, it's minimized (to tray). I want to control ZXtune from keyboard, while it minimized. Doesn't dependent on current active window. I'd like to have a global hotkeys to: next/prev song, play/pause, volume up/down, show/hide UI window.
6 years since this was entered… any chance of it happening?? Particularly on Linux.
No need for hotkey support if it just responds to the usual media playback keys globally like a lot of other players do.
