Hi,
In ticket http://www.sqlalchemy.org/trac/ticket/1260 I reported a bug that was already fixed, but in revision 4241 (mercurial) the bug has been commited back, and now it fails another time when there are fields with spaces.

the change was not reverted, only modified in its approach. The committed change in
#1260would still fail in the unlikely case that a column name looked exactly like one of our anonymous labels so an extra layer of escaping was added. The unit tests for#1260's fix were also left in place.Unfortunately the unit tests were incomplete, which has been remedied, along with further adjustments to the escaping scheme in 072039945b23b0a76814e53698da247de334f7eb.
