"evaluate" strategy for synchronize_session fails to update existing instances

Here is a minimal example script reproducing the problem. Pass "fetch" as the first parameter and it succeeds (in-memory instances are updated). Pass "evaluate" and it doesn't.

havent tried yet but am going to guess its because the test query has no criterion. am attempting to get ants to look at it.
