Can I use my own instance of Kitn for my own IRC channel?

Sure, but Kitn is designed specifically for the Foonetic network and thus may not work properly on other IRC networks. You'll also have to tweak some things (like the admin_only decorator) for your own use, and set up a configuration file (there's a config.example.yaml that you can use as a starting point).

You can consider Kitn effectively licensed under the MIT License as far as code re-use goes, though there isn't currently a LICENSE file to redistribute - basically, you can use the code as long as you (a) don't try to claim that you wrote stuff that you didn't, (b) you don't deceive people as to the free availability of this code, and (c) you don't hold me liable for it.
