I believe he means games for the original Xbox (ex. GTA San Andreas, Vice City, Halo 2 etc..) ISOs are not detected (no xex).
-
repo owner I do not own any xbox 1 game so I will see if I can buy one to test that.
Btw, was it working with the previous dvd-menu software from diagdave and rejdzu ? -
If you need some Original Xbox isos, I'm sure you can find some (pre-converted for the xk3y). Basically there just needs to be an option to add your own ISOs/art to the list. And nope, I don't believe any versions of DVDmenu were able to detect the Original Xbox games.
-
I'd also like to add that Xbox Original games ARE recognized by the Xbox. The way I've got it working has been through naming the original game over another game. Ex. Setting up GTA IV.iso through Xkeybrew, then renaming the GTA IV.iso to something else, and naming my Vice City.iso to GTA IV.iso. Based on this, if you added an option for "Add Original Xbox ISO/Artwork/Description", then it should work.

Yeah, the spec of the xkey says that most of xbox 1 game are supported. So they should definitely work with XKeyBrew. I'm reopening this ticket. Thanks !

After some testing trying to get multiple Xbox original games to work with both ISOmenu/DVDmenu (I don't have the remote, so I'm getting a friend to test the ISO I'm using later to see if those are the culprits of the problem, or if the ISO is bad). Hopefully you'll have more luck testing than me haha.

Hi, I'm the thread starter. I'm here to correct you two that, YES, dvdmenu by diagdave and rejdzu does detect the original/classic xbox games. It will even detect games that aren't properly converted to work on the 360. Those will boot to an xbox logo video with some warning. Which makes me to believe dvdmenu might automatically add any .ISO whether it works or not. Dvdmenu will not get a game picture, though. Maybe you can add a feature to manually add any .ISO and paste a picture in?

repo owner Being able to manually create a game is part of the 2.0 roadmap.
This feature will help fix this issue and #28. -

What the application does is read a collection of iso files that indeed should be backups of your original games. So what do you mean by Xbox-Original games ?
