JCM/Flexion conflict with NewGens morphs causing mesh displacement using MHX rig
Daz Studio 4.21.05 | Blender 3.3.5 | Diffeomorphic 1.7.1.1551 | Windows 10
Importing JCMs or Flexions on a default G8.1F figure with a NewGens geograft and importing NewGens morphs using 'Easy Import' results in the NewGens mesh being displaced when the hip is moved on the MHX rig. (JCMs enabled seem to displace the mesh a lot, whilst Flexion is a smaller displacement).
I have attached a screenshot of my Easy Import settings, a .duf file of the G8.1F NewGens character, my favourite morphs file with the NewGens morphs and a screenshot of the mesh displacement.
This wasn’t a problem in the 1.6 branch, no clue when this issue was introduced. I thought maybe #1481 was related, but I’m not sure.
Steps to reproduce:
- Easy Import a G8.1F figure with a NewGens geograft applied. Import the NewGens morphs listed in the favourite morphs file, with JCMs and Flexions (or just one, both cause the issue).
- Convert the rig to MHX.
- Move the hip up or down, displacement should occur.
Work arounds:
- Importing without NewGens morphs.
- Importing without both JCMs and Flexions

bug. daz favorites
It seems the “anus open” morph doesn’t get imported with daz favorites, both with easy import and standard import. The other morphs work fine.
steps:
- in daz studio load g8f with ngv8, and set “anus open” as favorite
- export as dbz
- easy import with daz favorites, the “anus open” morph is not imported
alternate steps:
- in daz studio load g8f with ngv8, and set “anus open” as favorite
- export as dbz
- standard import and merge rigs
- import daz favorites, the “anus open” morph is not imported

reporter Thanks for the potentially workaround suggestion :D
Have yet to use the Daz Favourites, personally for my workflow I don’t think it would work. I have multiple machines (and users) with Daz Studio using a centralized content library, the old favourites allows me to have one file to manage the large amount of morphs I import, with over 100 characters.

The Daz Favorite feature did not work for me.
I use G9 character and new genitalia.Favorites added for Body work fine but not for Genitalia (morphs load but sliders don't work)
That's why I still use the old system 'Custom Morph File'.

I use the old system 'Custom Morph File.
but A similar phenomenon occurred.
I think there is a problem with the new gen itself.

@Noel Lang This should be fixed in the last commit, if you have nothing to add we can mark as resolved.

Did you try to use the new daz favorites instead ? Not that it is a fix but it may be a workaround until Thomas sorts it out. Also, now that we have daz favorites I see little use for the old favorites, so they could be discontinued as obsolete, but this is my personal opinion for my workflow, may be the old favorites can be of some specific use.
