A daz corrupted file = a Blender corrupted file.

Issue #1676 invalid
bouich jules created an issue

Hello,

Since i mostly use the plugin for all my blender tasks, I noticed something that if by any chance my .duf file get corrupted for an unknown reason in Daz.

Blender will automatic give me corrupt file to all my files that have this daz character.

Is there any option in the plugin to save my daz character and not let him be still related to the .DUF file ?

I have almost 10tb of file and i am using an external hard disk, sometimes if i don’t eject properly some of my data become automatic corrupted.

Probably it’s not related to the plugin, feel free to close as invalid if that’s the case.

Thank you!

As I understand it, once you import the scene in blender the only reference to the daz library is textures. To make the scene independent from the daz library you can “save local textures“. Then of course if you keep both the daz library and the blender files in the same broken disk, this will affect both and there’s nothing you can do apart attempting a disk repair.

If there’s nothing to add you can close as invalid. Or provide more details if the issue doesn’t involve textures.
