NiNa crashing
Come to use NINA after a few weeks away, running the beta version so as soon as it started i ran the update.
after the update was installed I tried to use it.
NINA closes when I either select telescope and connect to the HEQ5/6 driver and press start it connects and then after a few seconds closes leaving the ascom box open and running. OR if I don't start anything and just select framing and load something like M42 it will load the image and then NINA closes.
I have tried
- rolling back windows to version before I had the issue
- uninstall/reinstall ensuring all folders I can find are removed
- deleting all profiles and starting fresh
nothing appears to resolve the issue
before I reinstall windows is there anything obvious I have missed?
log attached is when logging is set to trace is that the best way?
many thanks
Dave W

repo owner The exit code hints at unmanaged code, which seems to hint that some of the external SDKs is taking down the app. Is there any more info in the event viewer related to nina at that time?
-
A crash dump would be most helpful also
-
reporter - attached Report.wer

sorry for wasting your time guys
-
repo owner - changed status to closed
Odd that this update was responsible, but glad that your app is working again.
-
reporter it is odd but I can replicate it quite easily by letting the update run through again and NINA will crash
uninstall and all is well in the world!

Hi,
for crashes, the log won’t contain anything (as it crashed) - please check the event viewer if there are more details about it.
You can find a short guide here: https://nighttime-imaging.eu/docs/develop/site/troubleshooting/general/#application-crashes
