NINA doesn't detect a camera through ASCOM, while other software do
Issue #1272
resolved
Observed in v2.3HF2 and v3.0 nightly 086
Description
We have a new camera that is not integrated with NINA. We have an ASCOM driver that can be used to connect the camera to other software, such as PHD2, SharpCap, etc. However; when we try to connect the camera to NINA using the same ASCOM driver, the camera is not listed in the ASCOM window.
Steps to Reproduce
- Download and install the OGMA ASCOM driver from November 30, 2023, from https://getogma.com/download
- Plug the camera GP662C into a USB port.
- Open NINA
- Select: Equipment > Camera > ASCOM OGMAVision Camera > Click the cogwheels
- The ASCOM setup window will open, but the camera will not be listed for selection
Expected behaviour
The expected behavior is that the camera would be listed under the ASCOM Setup for selection, as it happens with other software such as PHD2 and SharpCap.
Actual behavior
The camera doesn’t show for selection under the ASCOM window in NINA.
