Camera cooling temperature doesn't go below -50 degrees of Celsius

Issue #1295 resolved
Skinakas Observatory created an issue

Hello,

We are testing N.I.N.A. considering to use it as our main astrophotography software, but we see that it does not let us set the camera cooling temperature below -50C.

Is there any way to do so?

If not, could this be a future enhancement?

(We need to set it to -90C in our case)

Thanks a lot,

    Hey,

currently the -50°C is an arbitrary restriction as there was no need to go below that value. It can certainly be changed to allow for even lower values in a future build.

I have prepared a change to allow entry of down to -200°C. This will be available for Version 3.1 once it is released.

yes i have adjusted that too, so it scales more dynamically. initially from -20 to 40 and then if a value exceeds that it will adjust the scale.

in 3.1 nightly it is possible enter values down to -200°C. Additionally it is already possible in 3.0 to enter lower values via the sequencer cooling instructions.
