Cannot open the x64 version

Hi, I have a problem opening the N.I.N.A. x64 Version in Windows 10. The download and installation shows no problem, however, when I click on the icon on the desktop, the big icon appears as if it would open the software and then it just disappears. I uninstalled the entire software and installed the x86 version. I had no problem opening this version once it was installed. All my other astronomy software programs are installed under the x64 version and open-up without a problem. I tried also to download the x64 version after installing the x86 version (with which I connected my cameras, Moravian CCD 11000, as x86 version, not the x64 version for which I have the drivers installed), but as soon as the program replaced the x86 version I could not open it any longer. So I un-installed it again to download the latest x86 version......I tried also. My Windws 10 system (home edition) is all up dated to the latest version, I also uninstalled a Firewall program I have but with no different success. Kindly let me know what am I doing wrong.

Hi,

to further analyze the problem, could you please check your log files in %localappdata%\nina\logs and post the one that was created when you started the x64 application?

Hm unfortunately there is no hint inside the log file. Another option is to check the Windows Event Viewer. There on the applications tab you can check the last errors and it might hint to the error. Could you please check this?

No it doesn't. Try removing the () from the file names. It might be an issue.

It looks like the markdown has trouble parsing the filename. when fiddling around with the url itself it works. For conveniance i have attached the modified files.

The faulting package is the EDSDK.dll, which is related to canon. This occurrs when there is another application using the canon dslr in the background (most likely EOSUtils). When this is closed it should work.

For future versions i want to catch this problem better to notify the user at least that the dll was not able to load.
