Lunatico CLOUDWATCHER support please!
SGP had this but didn't implement it well. Please add cloudwatcher to your weather options. My local cloud meter, wind, rain, temp are monitored locally at my dome.
They have software running that writes out a single line .dat file with each reading. Kstars/Ekos also supported it VERY IN DEPTH. I love Kstars, but not stable. = (
attached file it creates.

There is one - but I can 't get it to work. Do I load it in SWITCHES or in WEATHER?

ODD the cloudwatcher ASCOM driver does not appear in the options in NINA. They refer to it as a safety monitor. (not really weather). It appears NINA doesn’t support a safety monitor?
HOWEVER under weather I did get the BOLTWOOD driver to load the cloudwatcher compatible .dat file and display it as weather. However - should it rain, or cloud over - I don’t believe “weather” will alert me or do anything other than display it in the window. = ( Where as a safety monitor can end a sequence. (warm cam, park scope, and hopefully I can get it to call a script which will close the dome).Part of the reason I dropped SGP is they had a safety monitor. But it would display a GREEN LIGHT or a RED LIGHT. and would only shut down if a sequence was running. (not if one had finished or was paused.
maybe in the future.

Yes, NINA does not implement the ASCOM Safety Monitor class of drivers because it is meant to be used in conjunction with Dome support, which also is not implemented. When Dome support is implemented, Safety Monitor should be as well. This ticket will be on hold until a Dome implementation is in progress.

repo owner - changed status to closed
Safety Monitor is available in 1.11

THANK YOU - works perfectly.

Well “CLOSES” which is all we really need. HOWEVER it would be cooler if we had a…
LOOP UNTIL UNSAFE. Where it would then see the sequence to close down and shut down the equipment.
Or trigger like for the meridian or focus. -
repo owner There are both “Loop while safe” and “loop while unsafe” available already.

The cloudwatcher seems to have an ascom driver that should work with NINA?
