Sweet idea to add to HFR annotation.
There is a ridiculously over priced piece of software that is called CCD inspector. It has 30 day free trial which is what most people use because of the price. I was thinking why isn’t there another option. I then thought… NINA already does a full star HFR calculation in “annotated” display. Seems it would not take much to include more stars and convert the HFR map to a colored representation. (see attached). If this was available in NINA is would be a huge boon for the product. The hardpart is already done. Someone just needs to map it with colors and determine tilt and curvature from the calculations that are already being done.
It’s just color mapping HFR well any maybe elongation?

ASTAP already has a similar feature.

reporter PI also does this but takes a lot of steps. It would be so cool if we could click a button and see this in NINA from the latest sub.

ASTAP is free and provides this sort of image analysis. ASTAP, as you likely know, is free.

reporter I didnt know that, I just played with it. Yep nice to know… though also a bit crude. Still price is right

Not in the realm of N.I.N.A.'s scope to implement Maybe someone can add a plugin to do it for the future.
