How Cardboard Recycling Works

Recycling is a process by which waste materials are transformed into usable materials. It is made up of such materials that can be transformed easily and do not create greenhouse gas which is a very harmful chemical and results in air pollution. By doing recycling the world has useful materials that can reduce the use of raw materials, thus providing them with a reduction in energy usage, air pollution, and water pollution. There are some standards by which this process is performed and they are called ISO standards. Recycling is based on many materials that are naturally biodegradable including glass, paper, and cardboard, metal, plastic, tires, textiles. The process of recycling is that the materials are collected at one point and then sorted out, cleaned and then sent to reprocessing or is biodegraded. Usually, all the material that is recycled is made again to form the same product as before for example, office paper is again recycled to make new office paper.

Recycling dates back in history to 400 BC where there is a very less amount of waste is found by archeologists. It is believed that the people in that era used to recycle all the products to use it in a useful manner instead of just dumping it. In 1031, paper recycling was started where Japanese used to sell the recycled paper. Furthermore, in Britain people used to collect dust and coal along with ash and mud to reuse it in brick making. In the 19th century, railroads were remade from the metal scraped from dumped materials. By 1800s, the beverage bottles were collected and recycled.

Scientists are working a lot to get ways to stop the pollution hazards that are causing due to the unrecyclable materials that can be biodegraded. Months of research has come to the conclusion that if recycling is not done in the proper manner it can result in very disastrous effects on the present life and the future. That is the reason recycling is given such an importance today and will be given in future too.

importance of packaging

## The importance of Recycling: ## Recycling is the only way to protect the world and create a positive impact on the world. The rubbish which is collected every day at our house and in the same manner is collected every day throughout the world results in a huge quantity and is usually dumped into the sea resulting in sea pollution or is burnt to create air pollution. Increasing in wealth and population simultaneously causes the increase in pollution. Such harmful chemicals need to be eliminated from the world and for that companies needs to promote the recyclable products and packaging which can result in biodegradability.

importance of cardboard

Why is cardboard recycling important:

Cardboard is a material that is widely used throughout the world for several of reasons. It is considered as the fastest form of biodegradability material. It is usually large in size and if it is dumped at a certain place without recycling then it would take a lot of space and would be difficult to handle. Moreover, scientists at Planet Ark say that after decomposing of a cardboard it releases methyl which is 21 times more powerful than carbon dioxide. This is why it’s important to recycle cardboard waste as much as possible.
