This might be a Webstorm issue, but after upgrading Webstorm to 2021.2.4, I get a warning when starting the IDE about the version of IC…

“WebStorm 2021.2.4 is less than the minimum recommended version for Illuminated Cloud (2021.3.1). There may be issues or missing features due to plugin SDK changes. Please consider upgrading to a newer version. Download WebStorm 2021.3.1”

IC plugin is the latest version, v2.2.0.1

Is it safe to upgrade to v2021.3.1 now?

Yes, you can safely upgrade to 2021.3.1. Please see #2015 and the 2.2.0.1 release notes for details.
