Chess is the chess program for Abstract Games. It includes an AI, pausing, touchpad gestures and more.
First Steps
When you first open chess, you will see a screen like shown below
This shows that chess has been installed correctly and is working. To start a new game, click on the start button. To set it to have more to less players, click on the plus and minus signs. After you have started your first game, you have move pieces by first clicking the piece you wish to move, then clicking on the place you wish to move it. If you have selected a piece (you can see if it's selected by if has a little black border around it), then you can unselect the piece by clicking on it again. Once you have won, a little dialog will pop up showing who won:
After you've won or lost one game, you can start new games and change the number of the players for each game.
Pausing, Continuing, and Restarting
You pause and continue by swiping left or right, by using the arrow keys, or by holding and dragging the screen. After you've paused, you can click on the start button to see options to restart and resume:
If you click on resume, it'll resume the game. If you click on restart, it'll restart the game (warning: after starting a game you can not get it back).
