curious reaction of log encoding to exposure

observation: When slightly modifying the exposure, log encoding can suddenly jump to another setting. see attached video

It should be progressive.

Acknowledged, but since this is just a glitch in the automatic computation of ranges for Log (which is a heuristic anyway), I’m demoting this to minor, and postponing for after 1.0
