RFC 2821/2822 compliant ?

Hi,

I just found out that the current installation is not "RFC 2821/2822 compliant". When I tried to signup at https://www.secure.sorbs.net I never received any registration mail. According to their website they state the following:

"NOTE: If you are using a mail server that is not RFC 2821/2822 compliant in that it rejects or discards emails with "NULL" addresses, you will NOT be able to complete the registration process. Many mail appliances have this option available and some set it as a default. You should not use this feature except in extreme circumstances as it often breaks normal mail server operations."

And according to the local logs it seems that this is just what is happening. Right or wrong?!!

    Yes poste is blocking mails with empty "mail from:". I will investigate more this issue on our current installations - if there will not be direct effect on spam ill fix it asap. Thanks for reporting
