Project and Issue Type

Issue #326 open
Former user created an issue

Hello, when making repeating tasks in The Scheduler, there are dropdown fields called Project and Issue type which are blank, yet show icons. In Issue Type the options are successfully selectable, yet do not render. For Project, nothing is selectable in the drop down, yet the icon for the Project is visible (in this example, a red circle with a wrench in it). Please see attached pic of the issue. Any input is appreciated.

Also, is there a choice to have a repeating task use the same ticker number each time it comes around, but just show the running comments in the activity/work fields? Would make it like a snooze button that is satisfied when the work is done and acknowledged, and keeps the info in one ticket as opposed to a trail. If it is not available please let me know.

Ticket #326 was submitted when I had an active Atlassian account and needed to make a BitBucket acccount, which I just completed. In order to get in touch with me for questions or follow up:

Happy to help however I can.

    Hi there,

It looks like the dropdown was not rendered correctly.

Let us know what is your Jira version, The Scheduler and what browser are you using - please check if it is working on another browser. Also check if it is happening to all of the users or for some particular user

The most important: make a screenshot of the browser console view (you can open it with 'f12' in most of the browsers), when you are on this step of the wizard. If there are red errors make sure those are visible on screenshot.

You can attach screenshot here or send it at support.atlassian@tt.com.pl

    Cheers,

    Łukasz

Hello Łukasz, the issue happens in both in chrome and IE, and happens for both admins of our Jira instance. Jira version: 7.8.0, Scheduler: 5.1.3. Screenshot attached of what shows when I hit f12 in the browser. I noticed when hitting the drop down for Project field, in the lower left corner of the screen is javascript:void(0), as seen in the screenshot, if that helps.

Ok, thank you. Do you have any plugins changing Jira appearance ? (this might be something with .css hacking) With browser developer tools (with active elements tab), with the use of key combination: "ctrl + shift + c", grab the project picker and expand it nested elements. Please check if it looks similar to attached screenshot: Select the element and see the div.png

    Please send it at support.atlassian@tt.com.pl

Thanks for the quick reply. Not that I'm aware of regarding plugins changing Jira's appearance, though I'd be happy to check if there is a way to tell. Here is the output from the Elements tab using shift+control+c and picking the Projects dropdown with expanded nested elements.
