<ebi.nigiri> I think I found a new clue with respect to the quest-advancement bug. I had forgotten that I had acquired an "acquire artifact" quest. When I got to the site, the quest did not advance. I acquired the item, and again the quest did not advance. Later on the exact same level, I found a statue that gave another "acquire artifact" quest , at which point I was given full credit for the earlier quest.
