another one: my companion is in "engage defensively" mode, and between me and some enemies. Even with the enemies being targeted, it won't attack them, and they won't attack it either

This is especially disappointing for enemies that are intended to swarm, eg snapjaws and segmented mirthworms. They virtually always form an orderly line to fight you 1:1 in honorable battle, rather than trying to surround you.

It was previously fixed in https://bitbucket.org/bbucklew/cavesofqud-public-issue-tracker/issues/2184/beta-bugs-enemies-pathfinding-is-acting but at some point must have regressed?
