<kernelmethod> proposal: in a somewhat related vein, it would be nice if tinkering merchants either stocked more data disks, or if data disks for items that appeared frequently in the world (whose blueprints can be easily learned with Psychometry/Reverse Engineering) were downweighted.

From some very rough back-of-the-envelope calculations, if you're looking for a specific data disk, right now you have to wait for a disk merchant to restock their inventory an average of ~38 times before that disk shows up.
