U4 - Customised i (info) key not actioned

On the T4, I have the Single channel EPG set to display on press of i INFO (set via long-i INFO and choosing 'Select default EPG type...' and then choosing 'Show EPG for current channel...' - config.usage.defaultEPGType=Show EPG for current channel... Works just like it says on the tin.

On the U4, no workee. I go through the same motions - long-i, choose select default, choose single channel EPG. It results in the same config: config.usage.defaultEPGType=Show EPG for current channel... but the i key doesn't display it, it always displays Event info. It doesn't matter if I choose a different default, e.g. Multi EPG (config.usage.defaultEPGType=Multi EPG) or search EPG (config.usage.defaultEPGType=¦search EPG) as they don't work neither. I can set EPG key to a different style using the same process and it correctly displays the new style/function.

The help screen shows the customised function assignment. It just looks like the default action on the i key is always executed.
