I can verify. We're having the exact same problem.
Plug-in spams "History" and "Activity" tabs
Good morning, as you can see in the attachment, the plug-in spams the History and Activity tabs with useless updates: if a user refresh the page, the plug-in recalculate the due date (ok) and writes time in milliseconds in the tabs (really bad). We don't need the plug-in to write anything in the tabs.
Thank you for your hard work.

Getting reports for the same exact issue.
Also, noticed this add-on has switched from 'Days' to 'Hours' can this be configured? (sorry to piggyback)
-
repo owner I will look into this over the next week. Thanks for your patience.

This is critical, since it also sends email notifications for each change, hitting everybody's email inbox, affecting the quota.
-
Also, please let us know if this also happens in version 1.4 or just in 1.5. Thanks for your great work buddy.
-
@bhushan154 did you get a chance to look into this? This is making the add-on unusable for our folks.
-
Same problem here. Cannot use your nice plugin in productive environment with all those activity logs. Thanks for your effort so far!

Hi, this error persist. Does anyone have a solution?
-
repo owner Hey all,
I know this is a big issue. Unfortunately, fixing this requires rewriting a big part of it. We will need to implement
- a listener that listens for issue updates
- checks if the due date has been updated
- update the custom field value only if the due date has changed
As you can see, it is a bit of work. Will anyone here be willing to contribute?
-
repo owner Hey Team,
I am really close to an update and should be able to release soon. Any volunteers for testing it on a test instance?
Regards Bhushan

Issue has been fixed in 2.0. However, it does require testing. Can you please test it by downloading from https://bitbucket.org/bhushan154/due-date-indicator/downloads/overdue-2.0.jar and let me know if you have any issues.
Thanks for your patience on this one.

Yes, I will test. Tks

Good to see the issue is resolved. When do you plan to release it to the Atlassian Marketplace? It would make it easier to update the plugin!
-
repo owner Released on Marketplace. Thank you.
-
Good job, thank you!
-
reporter Good morning, I want to thank you for the update. Now the plugin doesn't spam and does work as intended.
But I need to report the error that you can see in the image. This error is not blocking and our service desk users are ignoring it, but I hope you can fix this too. Thank you for your work.
