Implement a messaging framework

It would be a great feature to be notified visually if some event happens, e.g.

• a followed user publishes a new mown-publication
• a friend posted a new resource
• a user adds a publication to a group
• a user gets a new follower
• a user receives a message?
• a user receives a publication in her inbox
• a user is invited to a group / a user wants to join a group / is promoted in a group etc etc etc pp pp pp

Note on the current state: I think that it is not a good idea to use the listed queries. Maybe we want to combine different messages in the same category if they occur in a defined time range.
