[newgroups] error after group creation request

After I filled out the form on http://newgroups.biblicious.org/settings to create a new group, I was redirected to http://newgroups.biblicious.org/updateGroup?action=REQUEST and got the error Internal Server Error: java.lang.RuntimeException: Groupname isn't present.

(I had filled out all form fields on the preceding page and named the group the_name_of_the_group).
