Failed to control 'Course Full Name' / 'Course Short Name' setting for the breadcrumb

If I set the course name to be displayed in full for the navigation block then it is displayed in full length in the breadcrumb disregarding to the appropriate breadcrumb setting. And the same for the short course name - navigation block setting always dominates.

The breadcrumb setting for the short or full course name seems to be broken as it provides no actual choice, see the screenshot below:
