The Merge DEMs Dialog

Choosing function Merge DEMs starts a process dialog for DEM merging, which generates a new, merged DEM from existing DEMs. All DEMs selected for merging have to be defined in the same reference systems. One DEM will be selected as Master DEM, which determines the gridding, the number of rows and the number of columns of the merged DEM. The extensions of the merged DEM will include all the selected DEMs. The user can modify the extension and gridding setting manually. To be able to start the merging process a file name has to be specified.

After the merging process of the DEM is finished, a DEM node icon will be created and added under the thumbnail view. Functions which can be performed from a thumbnail view DEM node are described in the section Barista thumbnail view.
