Tripwire / Pasting Signatures

For this example, we will be pasting the following scan results:

To start off, you will want to click into your probe window in-game. Now press 'Ctrl+A' to select all followed by 'Ctrl+C' to copy the text. An example of what this raw data looks like is as follows:

IWE-812 Cosmic Signature Wormhole 0.0% 19.06 AU
KTU-880 Cosmic Signature Wormhole 0.0% 18.81 AU
VGK-208 Cosmic Signature Wormhole Unstable Wormhole 100.0% 1.37 AU
YTB-910 Cosmic Signature Wormhole Unstable Wormhole 100.0% 2,536 m
ZVR-600 Cosmic Signature Gas Site Angel Gas Processing Site 100.0% 0.63 AU

From here, head over to your tripwire window and make sure you have your current system selected. Click into the web browser window to focus and you can now press 'Ctrl+V' to paste the results. Note that the results may be pasted anywhere as long as you have the Tripwire page focused.

You'll notice a few things have been added by that paste. Firstly, there are 5 new signatures as I had in-game. These are highlighted green for a few seconds. The fact that there were four wormholes has added four blank connections below as a level deeper in our 'chain'. There is also a useful tooltip in the top right-hand corner.

You can also see that there are two gas sites hanging around, these will have been ones that I scanned some time ago that are still stored in Tripwire. By clicking on that 'Click to delete missing sigs' tooltip to the top right, I will be able to automatically remove anything that doesn't exist!

You will notice that this highlights the removed signatures in red for a brief moment. Afterwards, they will be deleted. The same applies to wormhole connections and anomalies (if you choose to show them); once a wormhole has collapsed, pasting the signatures again and clicking that button will remove the old connection.

Note that you can paste as often as you like and Tripwire will just keep updating what already exists. If you partially scan a relic site now then come back later and fully scan it, your new paste will update the current information by adding the site name rather than just 'Relic Site'.

If you make a mistake while pasting and put something in the wrong system for example, quickly hit 'Ctrl+Z' or click the undo button to undo your change!
