New feature: Select which workpieces to print

Issue #496 closed
Timo Virtaneva created an issue

When creating general pattern for different usage, there is a need select which patten pieces to print.

I have shirt pattern, which have both long sleeve and short sleeve included. When printing with long sleeve there will be along the sleeve itself cuff, cuff interface and placket pieces. These are not needed with short sleeve.

Some times there is a need to print just interfaces or linings,

Of course this functionality can be achieved with deleting the unnecessary pieces, but a selector would be easier.

I think, it would be very helpful, if you could create different "detail sets":

    • you could draw a re-usable set of patterns once, like Timo's shirt pattern
    • you create named detail sets which reflect the different pattern combinations to sew (i.e. short/long shirts, with different collar variantions, etc.)
    • you create a layout from a previously chosen detail set

Yes, this is great idea. We even have empty dock widget Groups for this.

Wow, Roman! You're solution is slightly different but really great! It is intuitive, works absolutely well and is very versatile!

Just a small issue: if you move the separator between the group widget and tools widget, change to layout view and return to details view, the position of the separator is reset. If you do the same between draw and details view, the separator stays where you positioned it last.

I can't do anything about it. Making visible/invisible change size automatically.
