Enhance feature: Measurement menu enhancements (easy)

The user experience with Valentina Measurements could use some improvement.

To improve understanding of Measurement actions, split Create/Edit into two separate actions. Rearrange/rename the Valentina Measurements menu to this order:

  • Edit
  • Sync
  • Load Individual
  • Load Multi-size
  • Unload
  • Variables Table

    Rename 'Create/Edit' in Measurement menu to 'New' (Edit is misleading, this opens with a blank measurement file).

    As i remember 'Create/Edit' was your idea.:) But i agree. 'New' is better.

    Rename 'Show' to 'Edit'. This is where measurements are edited.

    Maybe better to 'Edit current'?

    Combine 'Load Individual' and 'Load Standard' to 'Load/Select'. Open a dialog box to choose 'Individual' or 'Standard'. Then open the choose file dialog with correct folder.

    Strange decision. In normal application user select one option and select filter: individual or standard measurements. But i did not do this way because of path to standard measurements. So in this form i don't like this idea. Not elegant.

    Agree, leave 'Load Individual' and 'Load Standard' , and place 'current' options together.

    Many GUI designers believe that grouping similar actions together is the elegant solution, with further options provided to the user in a submenu. So 'Elegance' depends on whether you analyze an application from a User perspective or from a Programming perspective. These two perspectives are usually in conflict.

    Now i see. But we can allow not hide for now these two options because have only few options in the menu. If number will growth we will use your way.

    You missed Variables Table. And also i don't like first option New. What if user want edit existing, but not connected to a pattern? Maybe better Open Tape with tooltip "Call Tape for creating or editing measurements".
