Overview

This project contains a number of templates that can be used to generate recipe books. Project pages include:

Standard Book Size

• Printed recipe books are typically 8" x 10", two-sided, which allows them to lay flat with a spiral binding.
• EBook versions are 8.5" x 11".

LaTeX Templates

A first attempt:

• The recipe-book class is built on the memoir class (article mode).
• Recipe titles are typeset as sections.
• Equipment, ingredients, preparations and instructions titles are typeset as subsections.
• Macros operating on sectional headings from the memoir package will therefore work.
• Equipment, ingredients and instructions are typeset using equipment, ingredients, preparation and instructions environments. They are really description, itemize and enumerate lists.
• The enumitem package is used for customising the above lists.
• Some new macros are defined to hold font families/styles/etc, as well as colours, to allow theming.
