Introduction

The Debate Page provides a threaded discussion forum to list the relative merits of a policy's benefits and drawbacks. The benefits and drawbacks with the highest number of votes make it to the Policy Page, sorted by tally. From this page, users can investigate each debate point by visiting its Supporting Page.

Typically the user will link to a DOI article that supports their argument. The system automatically fetches the DOI link, extracts an appropriate title, and inserts the article's date. Some arguments may require more explanation than a single link to a peer-reviewed journal. In these cases, a user can link to a wiki page that provides an in-depth explanation.
