Visual Transform for Initial View Model

We need to implement the visualTransform method for the model data into the view model(s) implemented in #11

    #15: Removed all static prototpye code; visual now relies on data view mapping and visual update function. Needs more work to remove some hard-coding but for now it works as expected relative to the prototype. Resolves #15.
