Activity names do not show

Hello, I have upgraded our moodle site to moodle 4.0.2 and installed last version of tiles plugin. After changeing course format to tiles, I can not see activity names - just rectangle is displayed. If I turn on editing, activity names show and can normaly edit things. I’m attaching two screenshots wher you can see the situation. I’ve tried to remove and install plugin more times, clear cache …

Thanks for the report. Please would you test this fix https://bitbucket.org/dw8/moodle-format_tiles/commits/4f4fb09a8b2e? This fix is for Moodle 4.0.3 and I have not yet tested it with 4.0.2.

The issue seems to have been introduced by a change to Moodle core in version 4.0.3 as a fix for https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-74800

I don’t see that issue in my environment. I am wondering, did you manually amend the file and if so, could some stray # characters be in there?

This is the raw file - the change was lines 74 - 76 inclusive. Are these lines exactly the same in yours?

I have no idea what I made wrong - I inserted the 3 lines again, it’s all ok!

e.g. for ubuntu-server:

We have tested this patch in M4.0.3 and works as a charm, and I think alot of people would be happy if this would be available on Moodle.org inclusing the issue https://bitbucket.org/dw8/moodle-format_tiles/issues/128
