"Use sub tiles in top section" doesn't work

Hello,

It seems setting "Use sub tiles in top section" doesn't do anything and also don't remember selected setting.

When you mark this settings on by ticking the setting box -> save -> return to page -> selection box isn't selected. Also nothing changes on the course.

Tested with Moodle 3.9 & 3.9.0.6 (RC) 2020080606

I suspect the issue is that you don’t also have the ‘Use sub tiles for activities” box checked. If sub-tiles have not been enabled for the course, they won’t work in to top row either. I suspect we need to change the label wording or add form validation to explain this

Thanks for the info, it works now when I show activities as subtiles on the course. I didn't know that these settings were tied together.
