Wall sliding at default angle

In vanilla if you start E1L1 and walk into the wall the player does not slide. Presumably this changed when angular resolution was dramatically increased, so check the math and see if there any way this can be improved. This sounds similar to an issue Doom had where it was impossible to walk straight.
