Mobile App craches at startup, "please update application" error message even after reinstall

Hello. My mobile app kept crashing all the time, I had to restart my phone when it happened (Android 10 on Galaxy S9). Anoying but at least I could move. This morning we reached another level:

1. The app doesn’t start anymore: I have an error message saying “Please update application”, when I press OK, it craches. I tried to unistal, re-install, delete cache, restart phone… nothing works! OK I go on road mode (I can unlock offroad only from the app). I go somewhere, park my bike stop the display.
2. When I pickup my bike, restart the display, I see an error code R40 and the motor wouldn’t start! (Bafang BSS02 750W). Speed is OK, but no current. I reset to factory (on and +). Same. I come back home without assistance (30km, in the mountain). Plug my laptop and figure that all the parameters in the baffang are completely OFF (I had the value 10 to almost all parameters!). I reprogram from the laptop and now I have assistance but I still can’t start the app

Please let me know what to do, or I will have to go back to the original display…

Never uninstalled, etc…

Using BBSHD, bike seems ti still work.

Hi,

I noticed the link in the first post didn’t work for android. please use this one.

We are terribly sorry to inform you that the EggRider app stopped working due to a technical error.

Until we manage to update new apps on the app stores the alternative is to use the beta channels
Android:

Do not uninstall the official app as you will lose all your data.
Once we will release new apps you will be able to use the old version and have access to your data again.

If the new app requires activation please use the activate now option.
Also, remember to read first on all pages before doing changes.

Another option is to set the date on the phone before 13 November 2020 to be able to use the original app.

new app version >=v2.4.83 released on Google PlayStore and Apple App Store. Using these versions solve the issue.

App v2.4.84 on iOS14.2 works lovely and fixed the complicated procedure to inhibit offroad on startup in my old version v2.4.11(?) from July 2020.
I love that green and red mode button in dashboard v2!
Just where to find information on the new “Range adaptability factor” ? How to use?

Nice design indeed.

Although with the test version, I still had the old issue: when I switch to anotehr app, when I come back I loose connection. Try to reconnect, finds the display, switch to orange, but stays there. I have to kill the app and restart.

Will try with V2.4.83.
