We'll need a little more info than that if we can attempt to help you out. However, that last sentence, "The path is not of a legal form." seems to indicate that the path to where you are trying to save may not exist or has invalid characters or something. Maybe you could provide the path to the file you're trying to save, or a screenshot of the Save dialog.

Note: We won't be fixing issues within version 8.4.1 unless the issue also exists in the latest version 8.4.2, then a new version would be released. So I would recommend that you use the latest version 8.4.2 and see if that resolves your issue first.

Ok, I've attached a screen shot of what I have. I just placed two nodes with a link and tried to save the network today and the same message popped up. My original query came after I had been following the tutorial on the Poudre Basin and had placed and named the links and nodes to copy what was in the tutorial and then was unable to save the network. When I open the already created demos available with the tutorial, then I can save no problem. That's not helpful though as I can't seem to create my own network and save it. Does that network have to be set up a specific way? I feel like I should be able to save what I have no matter how little work I've done (such as placing one node).

Also, I do have 8.4.2 downloaded. I did not write that down correctly in my first question.

Thanks for any insight you can give.

Ouch, that is an embarrassing bug, not sure how that slipped through the cracks. You reported it to version 8.4.1 and I was unable to reproduce it in that version, but your screen shot shows you are using version 8.4.2 and I can reproduce this issue in that version. I'll be submitting a fix shortly, and hopefully we can release a new version quickly. Thanks for the report!

No problem, I realized you didn't even have the option to set the version properly when you created the issue as we forgot to add MODSIM 8.4.2 to the list on bitbucket.

We're trying to get a new version out tomorrow.
