Hello,

Can we set a fixed resolution as "Service recovery" or any other Resolution, once the issue is created and auto close/Merge/Resolve the create Jira ticket for UP/DOWN alert with the help of post-functions?

    Are Notification Type and State custom fields?

    Nope, they are not custom fields. They are just values sent by Nagios alerts We are planning to make any configurations w.r.t. Summary and not Description field. So, we need to identify keywords from Summary and not Description while configuring Post-functions if that's not possible then only we shall think about picking certain keywords in Description field. Keywords like PROBLEM,DOWN as hostnames keep changing depending on the system.

    Hi @nikhil_dsv,

    The thing is that according to the screenshot you attached to issue #785, is the Description instead of the Summary where you are receiving the values for Notification Type and State. Can you, please, clarify this point?

    Anyway, before trying to implement this requirement we need to have a pair of custom fields Notification Type and State set with the values extracted from Description or Summary. To do it you can use Parse field for extracting data post-function.

    Once you have this values in custom fields we can try to implement the requirement of this issue.
