Unit tests don't pass as of bf1edde

Have built latest develop (commit bf1edde) on a linux machine running bionic with matlab 2018b.

The build seems to compile fine, but the tests are failing:

I have tried building with and without the matlab toolbox enabled, but both exhibit the same issue (building the matlab toolbox required the change mentioned in Issue #395).

I also built an older version (2194762), which only had one test fail:

When I last built develop (34cdd4f), all of the tests passed.

    Oh, some of those tests are failing due to what looks like a pathing error on my machine:

    /home/crobinso/projects/gtsam-external-source/gtsam/slam/tests/testDataset.cpp:37: Failure: "Exception: gtsam::findExampleDataFile could not find a matching file in
    /home/crobinso/projects/gtsam-clone/examples/Data or
    /gtsam_examples/Data named
    example, example.graph, or example.txt" 
    

    We can probably ignore those ones. Not sure why the others are failing though.
