[JOSS] Clarify authorship
Started working on the review for JOSS, https://github.com/openjournals/joss-reviews/issues/1889
I see some discrepancy between the authors on the JOSS paper, the AAS paper and the AUTHORS file in the repository.
Can you please explain? Also, I believe, (but please cross-check) that a joint submission to AAS and JOSS should have the same authors.

Hi Andrea,
Thanks for the message.
The author file registered all historical contributors to the hammurabi code, not only hammurabi X. So the actual contributors to this X version are: myself, Tess, Torsten, Joe and Theo, where Joe and Theo have contributed some snippets but not the main developers. In the JOSS paper I put Joe on upon his supervisor’s requirement, but Theo has quit science years ago. In terms of the AAS paper, neither Joe nor Theo contributed to the scientific work, while, Shamik has some contribution to part of the Appendices.
In the end, the main authors on both sides are just me, Tess and Torsten. I didn’t know the consistency of the authorship, I’m checking on both sides now. And, I would like to hear from your suggestions.

reporter ok, paper authorship is fine, see https://github.com/openjournals/joss-reviews/issues/1889#issuecomment-553871334
now what about removing AUTHORS from the repo and only use the list on the wiki? (or the other way around)

I also received a reply from AAS editorial office, saying it’s fine.
Yes, I’ll remove the AUTHORS file.
