Virtual desktop switching hides open dock windows

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open a dock window such as the constants list 
2. switch to another virtual screen
3. return to the application virtual screen

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The dock window should still be there. Instead it was hidden and its menu
check button is not selected anymore.

This happens in OpenSuSE Linux 10.3 (KDE).
