"ans" is auto-inserted when trying to begin an expression with a negative number

Steps to reproduce:
Compute any expression first.
Try to begin the next expression with a negative number.

Expected behavior:
The expression begins with a negative number.

Experienced behavior:
-5 becomes ans-5.

Product version:
0.10.1

Operating system:
I have experienced this in Linux and Windows 7.  
Likely occurs in all supported operating systems.
