Please give some more details. The screenshots shows 6 selected bands. What’s the problem?

CTRL + LeftMouse is usually for the selection of individual items in a tree. For blockwise sekection (shown in the screenshot above) you would expect SHIFT + LeftMouse.

Or let’s put it that way: how do I select Band 2 and Band 7, without also selecting Band 3-6?

Probably one just needs to change the QTreeViews’s QAbstractItemView::SelectionMode
