Plugin dependency

Hi Andreas,

since QGIS 3.8 there is the chance to add to the metadata.txt a list of dependent plugins. Given that this one relies on Google Earth Engine one, when you plugin is downloaded, QGIS will download automatically also the other one.

I wasn’t aware of that, thank’s.

BTW - is there something similar for specifying Python dependencies? That would really help. I know that  Google Earth Engine plugin depends on a lot of external Python packages. Do you know how they solved that?

I’d love to see this QEP implemented: https://github.com/qgis/QGIS-Enhancement-Proposals/issues/202 hopefully there will be a Grant Proposal for that and hopefully it will be considered It will be a game changer
