Frozen/Disappearing Text in Big Box Mode

Hi,

I have an issue where Text is Disappearing when entering a menu in Big Box mode or the UI does not reflect selection in the Menu.

Example. If I enter System menu to select a Game and I quickly start moving down the list before the Menu "Fully" loads, it is bound to cause this issue.

Also, If I exit a Custom Filter list, certain times, it will not draw anything on the screen.

I have set all Transitions to None to see if that fixes the issue, but it unfortunately still happens.

I am running Windows 10 with a 6700 i7, 8GB of Memory and a Geforce GTX 970.

Hi Jason, this sounds like it might be a video card driver issue. When was the last time you tried upgrading your video drivers? Can you give that a shot? Thanks!

Hi, I have the latest version of drivers on the video card. 364.72. I have done driver removal with DDU and have done clean driver installs and it has not resolved the issue.

There also seems to be a little bit of a hang up when moving up and down the systems list in big box as well that may be related.

My Library is around 6800 games. Maybe the size of the database is causing this issue?

Odd. My test database is around that size so really it shouldn't be a problem. It's also odd because I have GTX 970 myself and I've never seen that issue. Maybe your drivers are more up to date than mine. ;)

I'll do some testing to see if I can reproduce by force-feeding input early on or something. Are you running the latest beta by chance (5.9-beta-13)? If not, I'd appreciate if you could update to the beta to see if the issue still exists. Thanks!

I haven't seen this issue in awhile.

I did move over my LaunchBox install to an SSD as well a few months back, so I'm not sure if it is related, or the issue is resolved, but needless to say. It is gone for me!
