hey guys,

i love what you doing and i'm gonna buy the license to support you as soon as i'm done setting everything up properly, however i do have a couple ideas that i think could improve the experience for people:

  • implement an option to directly delete the rom associated with the launchbox entry, that way managing your launchbox and managing your hdd space could be done in one step.

  • couple the database scraper with the associated emulator, not the platform name, that way custom platforms are less fiddly, no need to scrape and rename them.

and finally, would it be possible to choose non-videogame data bases in the scraper? that way transforming launchbox into your comic or movie or tv show launcher as well would be amazingly easy. right now i just put a bunch of my favourite movies and shows in a platform called "watch stuff" which i associated with vlc, filled in relevant info and pictures by hand and the result is already fantastic! sitting on the couch and seamlessly switching between a 16bit game, a steam game, a ps2 game and my movie folder all with my game controller is just amazing, thank you so much for this and thanks for making it so easy and accessible!

cheers from stockholm, sweden

max

Right now, you can't use custom Scrapers. We might one day expand, but something like Kodi for video and Calibre for Comic Books already exist.

In terms of your requests, the first one has been requested on the BitBucket and is planned. The second one we are working on different ways to achieve this. We're merging some systems and creating alternate naming schemes but also implementing a "Scrape As" function instead.

If you could also use one ticket per request, that would be good. They're better to track with the proper titles, people can vote on them and we know what they're voting for. Don't forget to vote for your own tickets on the right.
