Most of the features of the extension are not documented here because they are quite intuitive (and I'm a lazy documenter). You shouldn't have much trouble figuring out how to use the forecaster. If you have trouble understanding how to use a particular feature please let me know by raising an issue.

Credit Card Reminders

Many people choose to pay off their entire credit card balance each month. Moneydance itself does not offer a way to forecast what the amount of that payment will be. You can create a transaction reminder for a transfer from one of your bank accounts to the credit card, but figuring out the amount of that transfer is not done for you.

The Forecaster is able to calculate the amount of upcoming credit card payments based on transaction reminders and actual transactions since your previous statement. You just have to configure the day of the month that your statement balance is determined, the day of the month the payment will be made and the account that it will be paid from.
