Can't Build the Source

While trying to build the source, I am getting following error.

./configure.in: line 1: syntax error near unexpected token gettext_version,' ./configure.in: line 1:define(gettext_version, 1.1)'

Also, I am not sure about the library libz. I can't find it.

See: * Install automake, autoconf, libtool * Issue 'make -f Makefile.cvs' in the root dir

And you need to supply information about your system for me to help you with the bug. Without your system information and without you following instructions, I can't do anything. Please use google to learn about libz
